On Certificate of Completion and Attendance

We are thanking all participants for joining the Online Teaching and Learning for Medical Schools and Internship Hospitals. As of the moment, the facilitators are still checking the submitted assignments. Once done, the certificate of completion and attendance will be issued to qualified participants. As per criteria: 

Certificate of completion will given to participants who have:

  • Accessed at least 75% of the contents in the learning management system
  • Evaluated all four modules 
  • Submitted the assignments for Modules 2 and 3

Certificate of attendance will be given to participants who have:

  • Attended at least 2 of the 4 Zoom sessions
  • Evaluated all four modules

For those who are noticing the progress bar in the course dashboard, kindly ignore the percentage shown. We have an internal means to compute the access to the course contents. Thank you very much. 


Available courses

This training program aims to equip the faculty of medical schools and internship training hospitals with the knowledge and skills needed to transition to online and blended modes of teaching and learning, ensuring that medical students and interns are able to achieve intended learning outcomes and optimize the use of teaching-learning opportunities that maintain the safety of trainees  in the face of the current COVID-19 pandemic

PROGRAM GOALS:

1. To equip the participants with the knowledge and skills needed in creating appropriate and relevant course modules that may be used in online and blended learning environments 

2. To revisit and redevelop discipline-based content in modular form that meets the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and Association of Philippine Medical Colleges (APMC) standards, and are aligned to quality and equity issues as well as institutional requirements 

3. To equip faculty members with knowledge and skills in safeguarding and delivering the curriculum in flexible blended/online mode, harnessing available digital tools for didactics, online interactivity, and pre-clinical/clinical skills development in pedagogically informed ways. 

LEARNING OUTCOMES:

At the end of this training program, the participants should be able to:

  1. discuss the key concepts in online, blended, distance and flexible learning;

  2. describe the roles of an online teacher, including what knowledge and skills these entail;

  3. review the existing instructional designs that participants have prepared or are currently teaching in an online/blended learning mode; 

  4. discuss options for clinical teaching online;

  5. redesign learning activities, instructional methods, and delivery strategies for online/ flexible learning as necessary;

  6. conduct online assessments that are aligned to learning outcomes

  7. share best practices in online teaching and assessment

EXPECTED OUTPUT:

Redesigned instructional designs that are aligned to expected learning outcomes and relevant to the current COVID-19 pandemic context
